Department of Biological Sciences Free Seminar - July 15, 2013

Mark your calendar this 15 July 2013, Monday, there will be a Free Seminar at the Lecture Hall B, CSM Annex with the theme "Plant Biotechnology", a one-day two-part series to be delivered by the Department of Biological Sciences' visiting professor from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Dr. Wathuge Thamara Priyantie Sandun Kumari Senarath (or Dr. WTPSK Senarath for short) have all the qualifications and the authority to talk on matters in Plant Biotechnology with her rich experiences and track records on the field from her PhD in University of Wales and her Post-Doctoral work in Seoul, South Korea, including her continuing contributions as a researcher to her university in Sri Lanka.
Everyone is invited to join, listen and interact with Dr. Senarath on this day.
- Part 1 (10:00AM to 12:00PM) is Tissue Culture: Prospects and Promises which would cater both the students and faculty members from all colleges and departments who are interested about the techniques in and uses of tissue culture and tissue culture materials for household and commercial purposes.
- Part 2 (1:30 to 3:30PM) is open to all faculty members and researchers who are into publication and aiming to help upgrade the institute's status as a research university/institution.
