Research and Knowledge Generation

  1. DRRM and CCA Research Committee
    • Prepare research proposals related to DRRM/CCA for submission to IREC and external funders. Facilitate the generation of research projects from the different colleges.
    • Organize and conduct seminars/conferences where research outputs on DRRM/CCA are presented.
    • Develop and maintain a database for research outputs.
    • Encourage and support faculty members engaged in DRRM and CCA research to publish in journals their outputs.
  2. Information, Education, and Communication Committee
    • Initiate the mainstreaming of DRRM and CCA into the curricular offerings of the different degree courses in 91快活林.
    • Establish a pool of lecturers/trainers for the different concerns of the Center
    • Conduct seminars on DRRM and CCA.

Extension and Community Engagements

  1. Community Engagement Committee
    • Establish linkages with LGUs and national agencies on DRRM and CCA concerns.
    • Assist partner LGUs in crafting disaster management plans
    • Conduct trainings and capacity-building of partner communities in DRRM and CCA concerns.
  2. Emergency Response Committee
    • Develop and maintain highly trained disaster.
    • Formulate a training/ retraining curriculum for different response teams
    • Conducts periodic emergency drills.
    • Establish and maintain linkage with response teams outside MSU.
