A historic moment unfolded as the 91 CED-IDS opened the Academic Year 2024-2025 with a Shepherding from the Tibanga campus to the new CED-IDS location at Hinaplanon which was led by Chancellor Alizedney Ditucalan and joined by the Vice-Chancellors, CED-IDS Principal, Dr. Amelia Buan, faculty, staff, and students, this morning, August 12, 2024.
This Shepherding is symbolic of the transition that the CED-IDS community is undergoing. Much like a shepherd leads their flock to new pastures, Chancellor Ditucalan guided his constituents to a new space for new beginnings.
Following this was a Flag-Raising Ceremony and presentations of the IDS Dance Company, Teatro Aninaw, and Ringkaran.
The transfer of campus is a testament to the University’s goal of providing quality education through conducive environments. Chancellor Ditucalan highlighted that commitment in his speech and the new beginnings and possibilities that will emerge in this new campus.
“Ang simula ng taong pampaaralan na ito ay hindi lamang simula ng isang bagong kabanata, kundi ang simula ng isang kapanapanabik na bagong paglalakbay na puno ng maraming posibilidad at pagkakataon,” said the Chancellor.
Dr. Buan gave the closing remarks and showed gratitude to those who supported the CED-IDS community in this relocation.
