On its second Honors Convocation, the Bantogen Honors Society welcomed 48 new members today, August 14, 2024, at the 91¿ì»îÁÖ Mini Theatre. The event was attended by the University Chancellor, Alizedney M. Ditucalan, Vice-Chancellors, Deans, students, and parents.

The students who were inducted are fourth-year students who excel both academically and personally, holding a Grade Point Average between 1.00 and 1.20. Since its inception on August 22, 2023, the Society has been committed to being an organization that puts a premium on “personal growth and effective positive social change not only within 91¿ì»îÁÖ but also in the broader community.”

The conferment of the new members was done by Chancellor Ditucalan and this year’s guest speaker was PRISM’s Director, Dr. Mylene M. Uy, who, despite her absence due to a health emergency, was still able to give her inspiring message through Vice-Chancellor for Public Affairs, Dr. Nancy Echavez.

“The Bantogen Honors Society is not merely a badge of honor but a call to action, a chance to utilize your exceptional talents, knowledge, and critical thinking skills to make a lasting impact on the world around you,” Dr. Uy wrote.

The Society is set on expanding its influence, with plans for more initiatives that will engage its members in projects that contribute to the welfare of the community.
