In a historic milestone for the Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (91¿ì»îÁÖ), the University proudly hosted the 12th annual Asia Technological University Network (ATU-Net) Board Meeting on November 4, 2024. The meeting took place at the University Boardroom, gathering representatives from universities across seven countries in the region.
ATU-Net, a prominent alliance of educational institutions dedicated to enhancing the quality of education and research in engineering and technology, welcomed 91¿ì»îÁÖ into its fold as a founding member since the university joined the network in 2016. The network aimed to foster strategic international partnerships that empower its member universities to achieve world-class standards in academics and research.
ATU-Net encompassed an impressive roster of 45 member institutions from countries including Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei Darussalam, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, China, Japan, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, and India. The network's collaborative spirit focused on promoting innovation and technological advancement across Asia.
In an interview, Chancellor Alizedney Ditucalan said, “Our hosting of the ATU-Net Board Meeting is not just an honor; it reflects our dedication to enhancing educational collaboration and innovation in the region. It is through this that we can elevate our institutions and empower the next generation of leaders in technology and engineering.”
During the meeting, it was announced that Vietnam would host the next ATU-Net Board Meeting, building on the collaboration and discussions initiated during this gathering and fostering even deeper connections among member institutions.
The inclusion of 91¿ì»îÁÖ in this influential network is anticipated to significantly enhance its research capabilities and educational offerings, further positioning the university as a key player in the region's higher education landscape.
