The Capacity Building for Advanced Research Innovation and Extension event organized by Jose Rizal Memorial State University (JRMSU) held at CNAHS-AVR, JRMSU Main Campus in Dapitan City on December 5-6, 2024, was marked by the invaluable contributions of esteemed 91快活林 professors–Dr. Maria Sheila K. Ramos, the Dean of the College of Engineering; Dr. Rabby Q. Lavilles, the Dean of the College of Computer Studies; Dr. Rosario L. Reserva, the Director of WE CARE Office; and Dr. Aljo Clair Pingal of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics.
The two-day event was remarkable as it brought together diverse groups of experts. The invited 91快活林 professors, renowned for their academic excellence, shared their expertise and insights on the theme “Synergizing Expertise: Advancing Quantitative and Qualitative Insights for Research, Innovation, and Extension.”
Dr. Ramos shared her expertise in Research Innovation and Technology Management. She shed light on the critical role of innovation in technological advancement.
The discussion on community engagement was spearheaded by Dr. Reserva with a focus on Designing and Evaluating Sustainable Research-Based Extension Programs. In her shared insights, she emphasized the call for initiatives and extension programs based on the sustainable development goals (SDGs) that are not only research goal-oriented but also driven by a call for sustainability, ensuring a long-term impact and involvement of the community.
Dr. Lavilles shared the “Advanced Data Analysis Techniques in Quantitative Research (with the application of freeware on statistical analysis) i.e. Multivariate Analysis, Time Series Analysis, Regression Analysis, and Cluster Analysis.”
On the other hand, Dr. Pingal shared his expertise on “Advanced Data Analysis Techniques in Quantitative Research.”
The presence of these resource persons fosters a collaborative environment for knowledge exchange among the participants which are the faculty members of the CNAHS-AVR, JRMSU Main Campus. The exceptional line-up of resource persons added a deep layer of expertise, enhanced the quality of the participants’ research endeavors, and made a great impact in their respective fields.
